There are several ways you can set up your dates in reports and on the dashboard in Brixx. The main ones are Yearly, All Years and Custom Dates.

This article will just deal with custom dates for now which can be used to generate reports for very specific time intervals, maybe you want to see the P&L or Cash Flow for only two months, or for one year and a half.

Regardless, custom dates can be a very powerful tool to use in the right circumstances.

How do I set up a custom date?

  1. Go to either your plan Dashboard or Reports.
  2. In the middle of the either your Report or Dashboard screen, you will see the time range drop down button, for example "2021-2022".
  3. Click on the time range drop down.

  4. Once you have clicked on that drop down button, there will be a list of options, click on the bottom one called "Custom Date".

  5. Now you should see the custom dates tab, where you can manually select any time ranges you want by selecting a Start Date and an End Date.

  6. Once you have set up the time period, just click on the Apply Changes button.

So what happens if you want to go back to yearly dates?

Let's say you have done all your digging through the Report section, and now you want to go back to simpler date ranges.

What do you do?

Simple, you just click on the Simple Dates button in the Custom Dates tab.

That will also erase any custom date you created, so be careful!

Please note that the date range only gets saved in the section you created it.

So for example, if you set up a custom date in the Reports section, and then go to the Dashboard, the date range that shows in the Dashboard will be different one than what you set up in Reports. If you want to see the same dates in the Dashboard, you will need to simply set it up like you did in the Reports.

That was it, really, I promise!
